The SoladayJ3X- A Solar Powered Tooth Brush On The Block

The tooth brushes powered by solar energy are ready to be launched after a few testing process, and the toothpastes are bound to become obsolete. Kunio komiyama  a  dentistry professor along with the Saskatchewan College of Dentistry Dean Mr Gerry Uswak have developed the solar powered brush in collaboration with a Japanese manufacturer Shiken. The toothbrush is named Soladay-J3X.


Guess what!! The toothbrush helps you maintain oral hygiene and brush your teeth without using toothpaste. The solar powered tooth brush when comes in contact with sunlight then electrons get transmitted to the bristles. These electrons react with the saliva and  also kill bacteria and plaque in the mouth thus maintaining oral hygiene and safeguarding you from the periodontal diseases. The brushes are in the testing process. They are going to be tested on 120 teenagers. Research and development of the product is still going on to include the capabilities of teeth whitening. We don’t know whether it just utilises the solar energy or also stores some of it for use when it is dark. Are you waiting for it to be picked up off the counter?
