Eco friendly is the norm today. Saving the natures resources and using them carefully has become a must. The water is one such valuable resource that needs to be used with a conscious sense of responsibility towards the nature, the environment and the humanity in general. Most of the people fail to do it and so there is need to develop such designs that help people inculcate a sense of responsibility and use less water no more than what is required.

The Fish bowl wash basin is one such design that constantly makes you watch the amount of water you use. There is fish bowl on top of the basin. As and when you use the basin and the tap is on the water level in the bowl decreases. As soon as you close the tap the level raises back to normal. This system makes sure that the person using the basin does not leave the tap open all the time he is at the basin whether brushing or freshening up.

The mechanism makes sure that the process does not lead to complete emptying of the water bowl. It just indicates the user to watch the use of water without causing any harm to the fish inside. More over the pipelines for the fish bowl and tap are different so neither of the entities needs to use the used up water. The water from the tap doesn’t come from the fish bowl nor does used water enter the bowl.
