Water Ball Ripple Faucet by Smith Newnam

Ripple Faucet

The idea of this completely innovative design draws its inspiration from the surface ripples. This completely novel faucet is designed by Smith Newnam. The faucet comprises of a ripple interface, a metal ball and 2 water channels.

Ripple Faucet

The ball controls the water flow and temperature. An array of electromagnetic sensors identifies the ball’s current position. When the ball moves away from the centre the water flow increases and it’s in and out movement controls the water pressure.

If the ball is at the centre it means the faucet is in sleep mode and doesn’t perform any action. You can control the flow and regulate the temperature by changing the position of the metallic ball.

The LED changes its colour as the ball moves indicating the temperature – red for hot while blue for cold. The LED is placed underneath the frosted ripple spread across the circles. The 2 water channels combine hot and cold water to offer you the perfect mixture.
